A robust story | Seth’s Weblog

It’s not possible to speak all the things. The map shouldn’t be the territory, it’s an abstraction, a abstract and most of all, a conceptual framework.

After we share an concept, we will work to verify it’s true, however once we share all of the information, we’re merely boring individuals. Tales are related, making a narrative and stress and alter.

A manipulator doesn’t care if the story is true. They’ve succeeded by making the most of our goodwill, our assumption that issues asserted to be true normally are. A manipulator brings us a narrative that creates emotion–and causes motion that the recipient finally ends up regretting. Manipulation isn’t resilient, as a result of ultimately, we uncover that the world doesn’t work the best way we have been led to imagine.

The tales we inform are a selection. Reciting information lets us off the hook, however telling a real story that causes change is a strong accountability.
